Hello! I’m Deklok. A (currently) Senior Software Engineer that is trying to adapt to the new age of AI tools to build things in the real world.

What This Blog Is About

I want to share my experience as I’m going through things and give you the real process without all the flare or trying to sell you something in the process: just my real thoughts and thinking process on how I used to approach things, and how I’m approach things now, and how I will approach things from now on once I adopt something new.

Some of the things you will find here is:

  • How my workflow looks on my work
  • How my life has changed with access to this technology to build more things on my side projects
  • The constant moral debate on what is correct to do with AI and what it’s not (I’ll give you a baseline: everything creative should be ALWAYS made by humans, AI should be tools and automation of repetitive tasks only)

The Semi-Anonymous Thing

I’m writing under a pseudonym (Deklok) because I want the freedom to share honest experiences without worrying about professional polish or personal branding. This is about the work and the learning, not about me. You can probably connect the dots if you look hard enough, but my opinions are attached to this name mainly because my main goal is to share what can be useful to other people in time of doubt.

What to Expect

I post roughly every two months when I have something worth sharing. No fluff, no hot takes on Twitter drama, just dev experiences and insights from actually building things.

Expect topics like:

  • AI-assisted coding workflows that go beyond autocomplete
  • Game dev experiments and what I learn from them
  • Tools and techniques for solo developers
  • Honest takes on what works and what’s overhyped

If you’re curious about how AI is changing development workflows or just want to follow along with someone experimenting with what seems actually valuable, welcome!
